Which SolisPanel suits you?

Six wavelengths from 630 to 1060 nm

All SolisPanels work with six individually adjustable wavelengths. Visible red light in the range around 630 and 660 nm stays close to the surface and is therefore the range commonly used for the skin. Near-infrared light between 810 and 1060 nm is invisible to the eye and penetrates deeper into the tissue. Because you control the channels individually, you can use the same hardware for a short facial routine and for a longer full-body session.

What really matters when buying

Irradiance only with a stated distance

A figure in mW/cm² without a measuring distance and measuring method is worthless. Measured at 5 cm, the same value can be a multiple of what actually arrives at 30 cm. Only compare figures that state both – and be sceptical of any number quoted without context. For reference, our own figure: the SolisPanels reach up to 150 mW/cm² at a measuring distance of 8 cm.

Flicker and electromagnetic fields

Cheap power supplies produce visible or invisible flicker. Ask for measured values instead of marketing adjectives. The same applies to figures on electromagnetic fields: what counts is the measured value at a defined distance.

Panel size and space required

The larger the surface, the further away you can stand and still remain evenly covered. A full-body panel needs around two metres of clear depth in the room. Plan for that before you decide on a size, and take a look at the tripods and floor stands.

Warranty and service

redtreat gives a three-year warranty on all SolisPanels. Support is based in Switzerland and replies in German, French and English.

Frequently asked questions about red light therapy panels

How long does a session take?

Ten to twenty minutes is a common starting point. Longer is not automatically better – stick to the timer.

How often per week?

Three to five sessions per week is a common rhythm. Consistency achieves more than occasional long sessions.

Which distance is right?

That depends on the panel size and your goal. Above all, it is important to keep the distance constant so that your sessions remain comparable.

Morning or evening?

Both are possible. Many people fit the session in after training or as a calm end to the day. What matters is that it fits into your day.

Do I need protective goggles?

Do not look directly into the LEDs. For sessions on the face, protective goggles are comfortable – check the scope of delivery of the respective model to see whether a pair is included.

What is the difference between an LED panel and a red light lamp from the chemist?

A classic red light lamp is essentially a heat source with a broad infrared spectrum. An LED panel works with defined wavelengths and generates hardly any heat in the process. These are two different categories of device, even if both glow red.
